ساورتني مشاعر متضاربة عندما أُبلغت بأن وزارة الثقافة قد اقتنت عملي الفني (السيارة القديمة) في ختام فترة المنحة التي قدمتها لي؛ فمن ناحية، شعرت بالسعادة لأن ذلك يُعد دليلاً على جودة العمل، ومن ناحية أخرى، لم يرق لي فقدان عملي الفني رغم إدراكي المسبق لاحتمالية حدوث ذلك. ومع ذلك، لم يكن هذا هو المؤشر الوحيد على نجاح العمل، إذ لطالما لمست ذلك الانطباع المعبّر في عيون المشاهدين. لقد رسمتُ هذه اللوحة كتطبيق عملي عقب درس تلقيته عبر الإنترنت، وحرصتُ على توخي الدقة قدر الإمكان. ومما قد لا تتوقعه، أن التحدي الأكبر بالنسبة لي تمثل في رسم العشب البعيد؛ إذ كان عليّ إظهاره بالملمس والحجم الصحيحين، بحيث لا يبدو أصغر أو أكبر مما ينبغي. آمل أن تنال اللوحة إعجابكم I have had mixed feelings when I have been told that my art work ( Old Automobile ) was acquired by the Ministry of Culture in the end of the grant they gave it to me, and these feelings were conflicting, in one hand I was pleased because this is a sign of a good work but in the other hand I did not like losing my art work despite my knowledge of this possibility, but this was not the only sign because I can always see this glimpse in the viewers eyes . This painting has been painted as an application after online lesson, I tried to be accurate as much as I can, and what was challenge to me as you might did not expect was painting the far away grass to came out with the right texture and the right size so it did not appear smaller or bigger than it should be, I hope you like it.
